Will received his hunger and hunting instinct toward the end of his time in Felfri, which resulted in him going a little crazy upon his return. He tries to stave off his instinct to hunt by hunting animals instead of humans, but alas the fog is not that kind. His hunger runs every three to four weeks.
labyrinthine recall
At the same time Will gained his hunger, he also gained the ability to sense nearby terrain and easily find his way back to "home" (wherever that might be). He has absolutely no idea he can do this, because Will has always had pretty good awareness of his surroundings and does not find the extra awareness he has to be strange. One day he'll figure it out and it'll be funny as hell.
short temper
Most people would say Will is a sweet, unassuming teenager without any of the mood swings associated with being a teenage boy. First of all, that was never true. Second of all, now Will has an extremely short fuse that mostly triggers when he's emotional. He's canonically prone to smashing things when he's upset, so probably better not to upset him.
glowing teeth
As a result of being affected by Elias' physical changes, Will's teeth now glow (although his are yellow not blue). The intensity of the glow is directly related to how recently he's hunted, with them being dimmer when he's refused to hunt for a while and very bright when he's recently hunted.
Already quite adept at tracking movement and taking in his surroundings, Will now has the typically enhanced senses of a monster. His eyesight in low light and nighttime situations has been greatly improved, and he can much more easily sense nearby movement. Will's hearing has also improved, able to detect the direction and approximate distance of nearby noises. Additionally, his sense of smell has improved slightly mostly related to blood.
sound weakness
Hilariously, Will was already weak to high-pitched noises thanks to his previous connection with the Mind Flayer. He has not noticed that he's slightly more so weak against them, to the point where these noises can disorient and momentarily confuse him. Also he can hear electronics. It sucks.
tail
It's a tail. Actually, it's about a two-foot long tail in a sandy brown with a white tuft at the end. Sometimes when he gets excited, it wags. "What, like a dog?" Yeah. Exactly like a dog. Yes, I'm aware that cows don't do this.
antelope eyes
Do I personally think the best part of monsters is weird eyes? Yeah. So anyway, Will's eyes are now a yellow-brown color with a oblong pupil. Like so. No, he doesn't have white in his eyes anymore. Yes, he finds that a little weird.
Grown slowly over the course of December, Will's horns resemble those of a Saiga Antelope. They're about a foot long, curving and ridged with black at the tips and base. He is not especially happy about them, because they gave him a month-long headache.
enhanced strength
Although he still looks like a noodle, Will is noticeably stronger than he used to be. He also has a lot more stamina and is capable of running much longer distances than he used to. Mostly the strength is centered in his legs, rather than his arms, but he definitely has more muscle tone than previously. Also he could probably lift a car now.
growth spurt
For absolutely no reason other than I think it's funny, Will gets a second growth spurt during his monster puberty and is now 6'7" (2m). He's a Demogorgon-ass noodle boy now, I don't make the rules. His arms also grew slightly longer, giving him the ability to run on all fours if he really wants to. He does not, but he has the ability!
In addition to his shorter temper, Will has gained the ability to enter something of a berserk mode. The downside to this ability is that it narrows his focus and leaves him vulnerable to outside attacks.
cow ears
In the back half of January, Will's ears elongated and changed shape slightly to resemble cow ears. This further enhanced his hearing, but made it very directional. Sort of like a bat.
monster nails
Along with his ears changing, Will's fingernails also turned thicker and darker. They're also slightly pointed—kind of like a Demogorgon, maybe? This surely doesn't mean anything.
Obligatory feet melting, because Ryslig be hating feet. Will's melted into cloven hooves, split farther than most varieties to more closely resemble a Demogorgon. Also he got fur legwarmers—the lower part of his leg is covered in sandy brown fur that matches his tail. It fades up his legs, ending a inch or two below his leg.
muzzle
While his feet were melting, Will's face also changed shape! He now has a slightly protruding muzzle with a bonus feature: it can split into petals! You know. Like a Demogorgon! Unlike a Stranger Things Demogorgon, however, Will's mouth only splits into three petals instead of five: the upper one where his nose is located, and two lower ones made up of his jaw.
antelope form
Also he can turn into a Saiga antelope now. He's very fast in this form, but more regularly human strong. This change is currently not conscious, but rather triggered by fear so have fun figuring that out, Will.
Edvin Hjorth is a freshman at Bavan College, where he plays basketball. His father is a local artisan who makes handcrafted wooden furniture and his mother runs a small tailoring business that now caters almost exclusively to monsters. Because of this, Edvin has been around monsters for a while and thinks they're just, like, so cool. He wants to be a werewolf when he grows up and became friends with Will after commissioning him for a portrait of himself as a werewolf. Generally, Edvin is somewhat soft-spoken and treats Will like a younger brother.
Clara Nygård didn't use to like monsters until her shitty father was killed by one. After that happened, she thought dating a monster would be the ideal and tried to ask Will to the Shade Ball. After finding out that he's gay, actually, Clara decided becoming best friends with him was the next best thing. She is very protective of Will and often jumps to his defense despite being five feet tall and also younger than him. Clara currently works at the Auntie Annie's pretzel shop in the Mall of Bavan and will give free pretzels to anyone she knows is Will's friend.
Nels Erling's father is an actor on Penninsula of Passions and his son has taken an interest in Bavan's blossoming film scene while in college. He became friends with Will after seeing him in the mall and asking him to be the monster in his new teen monster movie. Will declined, saying that he's not an actor, but Nels persisted and Will finally relented. Over the course of filming some preliminary screen tests, the two became friends—a bond only cemented by Edvin becoming obsessed with the idea of monster movies and working with Nels on the script for the next one.
Guðrún Kvalheim is a college dropout who now writes books about monsters when she's not working at the Mall of Bavan in TJ Maxx one of the clothing stores. Most of them are sexy, but recently she's started releasing a series of pro-monster picture books about a monster named Viljam who looks... suspiciously minotaur-y? Some of the books even have art that is recognizably Will's, but not all of them. She is dating Nels, although you would never know this from the way they bicker about nothing, and wrote the script for his film. You might think she's the mom friend, but she's actually chaos incarnate.
